The 20,000 square foot renovation of the two floors for CBRE was inspired at the macro level by the vast green openness with the mowing patterns seen on the green lawns and on the micro level by the local fashion industry and attention to craftsmanship and detail. This office lived in a very dated space on two floors, connected by the building stair and elevator lobby. In order to create a cohesive experience, we opened the floors to each other and added a suspended asymmetrical staircase to connect the two main areas of CBRE: the Heart (the welcoming Reception area) and the RISE, the employee break-out area and flex collaborative space, an area named after CBRE's core principles: Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence. This metamorphosis from fixed seating to flexible seating created huge energy in the team and became a showcase tool for the real estate agents in presenting to clients the new perspective on allowing workplace freedom.
